Jewelry is the thing that puts the whole finish on an outfit. Simple, elegant, or sleek and brassy. Many an individual has built quite the collection through their years but often find that the outcome is quite dismal. Necklaces, watches, earrings - all of which can't be found as there is no chance to organize it. Here are some clever suggestions to organize your jewelry in an appealing but cheap way.
Watches and Bracelets
This little necessity can add as much to an outfit as it's functional, but how you can organize them! I once had a friend that used to keep her watches on a paper towel dispenser. She attached it directly to the wall and wouldn't you know that it not only organized them but made them easy to get at too. She also had a different one that stored her rings. What an excellent space saver for your dresser!
Necklaces
Necklaces are so great until they get tangled and broken! A good way to organize them is to purchase a men's tie rack. A number of these fit compactly into your closet or on the wall by your mirror. These permit you to hang them without getting them tangled while having the capability to twirl your way in to the perfect necklace choice. Another inexpensive idea I know of is to try using a hanger with clothes pins between to stop tangling of the necklaces. Great hint for vacationing with necklaces that you don't want to be tangled - put the chains in a drinking straw for the trip. This keeps all chains tangle free!
Earrings
Earrings are likely the greatest headache to get organized. Is it simply me or does one of a match always seem to be missing? I have witnessed a number of very cute and inexpensive ideas for getting these darn things in check! Using an embroidery circle with some embroidery material (colour of your choice) tightly inside circle. This is the perfect surface to poke through your earrings for display. Even hoops round the sides can be organized with this solution. Other things I have noticed include egg carton with top removed or ice cube trays. While those are cheap as well, they aren't quite to appealing to the eye as the first one. As for those earrings that have lost their mate, you should have them as they are great as pins or accessories for scarves!
