Web designing is a popular course and has lots of different colleges you can check out if you decide you want to be a designer for websites. Maybe someone there could explain to you what makes a good and reliable web designer. You may not know the answer to that question yet because this is your first year of college. If you don't know, that's okay because their are people there that will help you out with that particular subject.
Hard work is everything especially when you're getting responses from the client you're doing the website for. When your boss hears the good reports coming from the client, he thinks back to your interview knowing he made the right choice in hiring you.
You may be asked this question a lot during your years of web design school but this is when you get to ask a lot of questions and you'll be able to pick it up in no time. While you're in school, it's always good to take a ton of notes and not to have any distractions. You don't want to sit by someone who keeps talking a mile a minute when you're trying to learn. On the other hand, you're just trying to be nice and people respect that. All you have to do is say in a nice way that you're trying to pay attention and don't want to get them in trouble.
Not only is it important to be a good web designer, because if you're not you will lose your job, it's also important to show up to work at least ten minutes early. That way you'll be able to get some coffee or check your work e-mails you have been meaning to check, and it also shows the employer that you're serious about this job and are ready to work. Most employers when they see the enthusiasm you have about working by showing up on time, they will let you clock in early and get in some extra overtime.
You may find that going out and looking may be more time consuming than the internet plus it would be more expensive because you will be spending all your money on gas. If you have the right education and a good amount of experience, then it should be easy for you to find a job as long as they're hiring. You want to apply for as many jobs as you can. The more jobs you apply for, the better your chance will be you'll get at least one e-mail back for an interview if not then more.
While you're at your assigned place of internship, hopefully you'll be able to catch the employer on a good day when he's not angry at what some other employee did or about anything that happened earlier on that day. On a good day the employer will sit down and talk with you before and after your internship is over. Even on a bad day the employer should not let his bad day ruin your internship. He should still be able to talk with you before and after it's over.
Teamwork is very important because while you're in class their's a good thing that your professor will set up the classroom like an office and put you into teams because that's what's most likely going to happen if you're in a real business for the first time. It also helps to learn off of each other. You may be doing something wrong in one part so obviously you need to ask your teammate what you did to get that wrong and maybe you're doing something right in another part and they ask you for help. The teams learn off of each other; just like a real office.
Hopefully you were able to get all your questions answered on what makes a good and reliable web designer and hopefully you were able to take notes. The more notes you take down, the more knowledge you will have. Knowledge is power so use it wisely and don't make your other co-workers feel bad because you think you do better work than they do.
