The first thing that every WoW player should do is to learn the Fishing skill. The Fishing skill is one of the most basic and essential gold-making skills in World of Warcraft, so make this skill part of your arsenal of skills early! Once you do, you should focus on the fish that brings you the most gold. Most fish aren't worth much, but if you've been around the markets, you will realise soon enough that the Deviate Fish is the most valuable fish at them markets on most servers. You can get these fish in only a few places though, so make sure you know them! You can find the Deviate Fish at the ponds in The Barrens called Lushwater Oasis, Stagnant Pools, and Forgotten Pools. The great thing is that you can get them at any fishing level, so it's perfect for newbies and beginners looking to raise some fast gold.

Gathering professions are also another way to get gold. What you can do with them is gather stuff, which can always be sold off for gold because many other people want these items. It's not a way to make you fabulously rich, but it can definitely get you some gold pretty quickly.

When you sell items off at the Auction House, one of the biggest headaches is what price to sell them at. Sometimes it is just not possible to find out on the spot what price a particular item can fetch. That's why it's good to make use of websites like WoWEcon and Allakhazam. What these websites can do is to give you a pretty good idea of what the market rates for any item is - with this knowledge, you can sell your items at a much better price, and it's easy to get more gold instantly using this method!

If you're short of gold, one thing that you can always do is to gather low-level herbs and ores. This is something that is always in demand - some professions just can't live without some of these items! If you're an engineer or a blacksmith, you will know what I mean - copper is ALWAYS needed!

Here's one more tip if you chose Enchanting. Sometimes you will get a green quest reward that you can't use. Don't discard it though! What you can do for some quick cash is to disenchant it, which will leave with you some shards. Now simply sell the shards at the Auction House for quick gold!
