At Evil Controllers we've recently been given the chance to work with one of our modded controllers designed for Gears of War 2, the Active Reload Gears of War 2 controller. I just want to say, it makes the game even more fun than using a regular Microsoft Controller (don't misunderstand, the Gears of War series is fun, but it's way more enjoyable using a rapid fire controller mod to destroy the Locust Horde).
Now you're probably asking, Evil Ambassador, does the modded controller's functions work with all the old Gears of War weapons? I can assure it, it does work on all of the old Gears of War weapons that can be found in Gears of War 2 with the exception to two weapons: The Pistol and the Hammer Burst. While you cannot use the active reload's rapid fire function on the pistol active reload works just fine with it, and the active reload function doesn't work on the Hammer Burst, but the rapid fire does.
Of all of the old weapons from Gears of War 2, found in Gears of War 3. Those were the only two controllers to have had any issues with the Gears of War 3 Beta.
Thankfully, you have nothing to worry about. Evil Controllers is working on making both the pistol and Hammer Burst fully operational by the time Gears of War comes out. We are also working on making the new weapons compatible with our two modded controller features. Although it's just a beta, you can suspect Evil Controllers is working hard to have a controller mod ready for the Fall release of Geras of War 3.
In the meantime, our Active Reload controller and our rapid fire functions are working just fine in the Gears of War beta, so give your modded controllers a test spin. You're going to find it mighty enjoyable like I have.
