Badminton is quick, frantic and loads of fun to play. Many millions enjoy playing the game in different parts of the world. It is played as a recreational game in gardens and beaches, but it is also a competitive sport.
The game has its origins in the 17th century and has since constantly grown in popularity. The pace of the game is frenetic and it is really entertaining to watch as well. The skill in the game comes from being able to judge the flight of the shuttlecock and getting to it before it lands on the ground.
Due to the feathers at the back of it, the flight is deceptive as it creates a lot of drag and slows down quickly. If you want to get better at the game you need be quite agile and fit just to get to it every time.
As I am neither of these I struggle a bit, but I really do enjoy playing badminton. Although I like playing it is just not as much fun getting humiliated time and again when playing. There are however alternatives for my current fitness level.
