Not many people know how online bingo works. Online bingo is not a broadcast of a regular real life bingo game. There are no balls called in order and there is no ball caller sitting behind a mike somewhere.
It is easy to get confused of course because the online replay of the game is very similar to the game in real life. The caller calls out the balls while you look at your cards being daubed to determine if you won.
The online version of the game has already ended when you hear the first ball being called out, it is all staged just so you feel you are actually in a game of bingo, but its really all a fake.
The internet is full of lags and latency and it would be incredibly difficult to make sure everyone got their numbers exactly at the same time. Instead, the server sends the numbers and they are then called out at certain intervals so you wont notice anything wrong.
How awful would it be if some players were ahead and others simply would not get the numbers being played out. If that happened to me i would certainly ask for my money back. To avoid this every number to be called is sent up front to you before the game starts.
Is this bad? I think not. What difference does it make wether the server knows or Fate know who the winner will be. It is different but it looks exactly the same to you.
In the end you are really playing a different game, but who care's, really, if its just as fun. This important to know, but it does not detract form the reason most players play bingo online.
The one thing that makes online bingo better than the old bingo is that you don't really have to do anything, just sit there, watch your cards get daubed and collect your money.
