Those of you who've read my posts before realize that I'm a big fan of flash games, and more than once I have rated different flash games and talked about which ones are the best flash games and which are the worst. It is about time I went into detail about my favorite games in each gaming category. Strategy games are my favorite, here are a few of the ones I can't get enough of.
Phage wars. I don't have a lot to say about this one apart from that this is undoubtedly one of the best flash strategy games I've ever played. The concept is simple, you are species of bacteria (or virus not particularly sure) and your job is to multiply and take over cells in a strategic way so as to wipe out all other species of bacteria. You can prefer a species with solid capabilities for a simple game or a weak bacteria for a difficult game, and there are numerous species to choose from.
I think some of the top flash games out there are tower defense games, and as far as tower defense (TD games are a sub category of strategy games, for all those of you who are concerned) games go Gemcraft is fairly famous. It is perhaps the quintessence of what other TD games aim to be. The fundamental concept is the same as any TD game, you try and stop incoming monsters by using your towers. The one twist is, in this game you get to mix different types of gems to generate countless combinations of towers and their abilities. A must for all strategy game lovers.
Anyone who has ever played a handful of flash games has heard of the game Sonny. Sonny 2 has become one of the most played strategy games online. Sonny 2 is another turn based fighting game but uniquely dark story and an addicting gameplay. After a quick tutorial in the start of the story, you get to decide on your class, items and basic skills. From then on you can go on various battles of your choice, for gaining experience, gold and loot. Some of these battles will be a part of the story and a few won't, but all of them will certainly be exciting.
The gold you gain from these battles becomes very useful when buying items in the shop, because without accurately equipping your character, beating this game is impossible. What I like about the shop is the fact that the items it has are constantly changing, which means you better check it out every level. Sonny 2 has story, awesome game play and excellent graphics and with an enormous ability tree and a number of weapons and classes this game is bound to keep you reeled in for a while.
