The latest and exciting new addition to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is Rift. Since the launch, Rift, Planes of Telara has had very good reviews and after only a few months has a subscription of over one million. It also has over 12,000 weapons for your characters to use in defence of Telara.
The Planes of Telara is a 3D world of fantasy and this world is rich in Sourcestone. This vibrant and prosperous world is protected from invaders by the magical Ward. Sadly as a result of treachery, Rifts develops in the Planes. This happens where the planes intersect. These Rift are formed as a result of elemental instabilities and if left, will open. Enemy monsters spill out of Rifts and head towards specific programmed destinations on you map of the Planes of Telara. To survive, the people must fight and eventually destroy these invaders, then seal up the Rift. If left for any length of time, the invaders form a foothold guarded by monsters. This makes to task harder for the Telarans.
Experienced online gamers who have played other MMORPG like WOW will quickly work out the ways to move about in the Planes of Telara and power themselves quickly up to level 50. The gamers new to MMO may have some difficulties and become frustrated because they are struggling to get to the top level. This article, I hope, will be helpful and encouraging.
This most important aspect of the Rift game is going up the level and the higher you go the greater the challenge. The top level is 50 and once you get there several great opportunities await you. So you want to get there quickly.
When you enter the game, you choose whether to be a Defiant or a Guardian. Your first Zone is the Turorial Zone and reaches up to level 6 or 7. As a Defiant, you enter Terminus and as a Guardian, you enter Mathosia. In the Tutorial Zone, there are no rifts and you can only do questing. In the Rift game, you can use questing, grinding, closing rifts and dungeons to level up.
Quests are great fun but you cannot leave this zone until you complete all the quests. From here you move to Silverwood or Freemarch. I recommend that you stay here right up to level 20. Questing gives you coin, experience faction and equipment gain. Finding Rifts and working together to close them give great experience but not much equipment or factions.
Dungeons is a great way to get up the levels very fast. Get a group together and if you have a good group working well, then you could get up to level 50 in a matter of days. Dungeons becomes available at level 17. You can get excellent experience although the equipment gain is not so good.
If you feel you are slipping behind, grinding is one way to catch up. Grinding is killing the enemy over and over again. If you can persist with this, you will level up effectively.
