Just about everyone has heard of the Mario Brothers video game as it is a household name. Regardless what the age may be whether young or even old, Mario Brothers game is known as one the greatest video games that was ever made. This game was not always a home played video game as Mario began as only a simple arcade game known as Donkey Kong in 1981 with Mario who played the character of a carpenter named Jump Man.

Donkey Kong along with Donkey Kong Junior also were hits among the arcades too. It was Nintendo that began the development on a spin off game for Jump Man in the year 1983 and Mario Brothers was then released later that same year. The side view platform game like Donkey Kong then introduced players to his brother Luigi, which then allowed two players to be able to play simultaneously. The brothers then became plumbers in this version of the series.

By 1985 the Mario brothers video game was now made to be much longer from Nintendo. The game was now known as Super Mario Brothers 1, and it was then that this game started to take its place in video game history. In Japan in 1986 was put out on the market with the addition of newer features, which made these game known as the hardest version in the series of Mario Brothers.

Later Nintendo would release a much more modified version which was taken from the Japanese Doki Doki Panic game with the Mario characters added to it this game was then sent to the market in the year of 1988 and was known as Super Mario brothers 2. It did not take too long as in the year of 1990 the Mario Brothers 3 hit the market and this one was considered to be the most greatest of the long series of the famous video game.

The Mario Brothers came a long way over the years from its start as just an arcade game on up to the game that everyone played in their homes and then right up to its current status as The new Super Mario Brothers. Nintendo Wii was released in the year 2006. This game will always be known as the greatest game in the history of video games and will still continue on well into the future.
